Accounting Administrative Assistant Position
WhippleWood CPAs is seeking a temp to hire administrative assistant to join our team for the tax season. This person will undertake a range of administrative tasks and work with a team of firm coordinators. Aside from receptionist duties, we are looking for an individual to undertake an “experience coordinator” role, working with both the professional team and clients to ensure a productive environment for everyone.

About Our Firm:
We are a growing certified public accounting firm in Littleton, Colorado and serve a variety of clients, including auto dealerships, manufacturing, franchises, restaurants, professional services, not-for-profit organizations, real estate development and retail trade.  We were honored as a national award winner in the “Best Accounting Firms to Work for” program for 2009 and 2010.

Requirements:
The Accounting Administrative Assistant must possess the following traits, experience and skills:

  • Ability to interact with clients to research and resolve questions and concerns
  • Ability to efficiently and correctly manage multiple projects while still handling receptionist duties
  • High organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Proficient in the Microsoft Word, Excel and Adobe
  • QuickBooks skills are a plus, but not required
  • A proactive attitude towards the role. You will be responsible for both small and large projects, but all will be equally important to the firm.

Education & Experience:

  • An Associate’s degree is preferred
  • Previous experience in a CPA firm preferred, but not required

Responsibilities:
The Accounting Administrative Assistant’s duties include (but are not limited to) the following:

  • Sort, deliver, and prepare outgoing mail
  • Answer phones
  • Process client deliverables and tax forms
  • Coordinate and prepare mass client mailing
  • Database management
  • Greet clients and guests, help coordinate their meetings in-house


Hours & Compensation:

  • This is an hourly position with salary equivalent. Overtime can make up a meaningful part of compensation.
  • The position is standard 40 hour work week with the need for overtime depending on project load, especially during tax season.
  • This is a temp to hire position for the right candidate. We are looking for an individual that wants to come in and make an impact. We hope to find someone that will grow with the position and with our firm in an eventual permanent, full time role.


The ideal candidate will have experience at a CPA firm, exceptional writing skills, customer service skills, understanding of basic accounting, and be experienced in Outlook, Word, Excel, and Adobe.  We are a busy office, so this person must have the ability to take charge, be able to manage multiple priorities, including interruptions and emergencies and quickly adapt to changing priorities and assignments.  As our Accounting Administrative you will serve as the main point of contact for clients and vendors on the phone and in our offices; therefore, this position is vitally important to our firm!
